How Can I Boost My FPS in Escape from Tarkov?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on how to improve my FPS in Escape from Tarkov, especially on the Woods map where I'm getting around 50-70 frames. My specs are Intel i9-12900K (Alder Lake) 16-Core, GeForce RTX 3080 10GB, and 32GB of DDR4-4600. I know my setup isn't the worst, but I've already tried the basics: XMP is enabled in the BIOS, I'm running the game on low settings, and DLSS is active. Plus, I'm on a fresh installation of the OS, so nothing extra is running. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, but I'd rather not consider buying new parts! Thanks!

Tarkov is pretty CPU-bound, so overclocking your CPU could help a bit. That said, don’t expect a massive boost. Make sure to check if your CPU is overheating, which could lead to thermal throttling that slows you down. If your GPU isn't hitting 100% usage, it's definitely a CPU bottleneck. If it is maxed out, an upgrade might be necessary for better performance.

You might want to try overclocking your CPU or using lossless scaling. Just keep in mind that lossless scaling can be tricky with most optics in Tarkov, especially holographic sights. It's worth giving overclocking a shot—do you need any guides for that?

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I’ll run some tests based on your suggestions and keep you all posted.

At what resolution are you playing? That can really affect performance too. Run some tests to see if it's more of a CPU or GPU issue. If you want to see if thermal throttling is happening, just monitor your CPU temperatures while gaming.
