Help Needed: Black Screen Issue with Gaming PC

My friend has been using his gaming PC for about seven years, but recently he's been facing a frustrating issue where the screen randomly goes black, even though the computer stays on and the audio continues to play. He brought the PC over for me to diagnose, and here's what I've tried so far:

1. I reseated the RAM and tested with just one stick, but it didn't change anything—his monitor still says "no signal."
2. When I power on the PC, the fans spin, and the lights turn on, but there are no beeps from the motherboard.
3. I reset the CMOS battery, but that also didn't help.
4. I attempted to start the PC with the display cable unplugged and then plugged it in after about 30 seconds, but still nothing.
5. I even swapped out his GPU with my working one, yet there was still no display.

Now, I'm starting to suspect it might be a motherboard or power supply issue. However, when I connected his GPU to my motherboard, my monitor also didn't receive a signal.

In summary:
- The monitor remains black with no signal.
- His GPU doesn't work in either PC.
- My GPU (which works fine on my PC) doesn't resolve the issue on his.
- Resetting the CMOS battery had no effect.

I'm really hoping to help him sort this out but am leaning towards it being a hardware malfunction. Any suggestions on further troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using DDU to uninstall and then reinstall the GPU drivers? It's a tool that helps clean up old drivers, but I'm not sure if you can run it if the PC won't boot up. Might be worth looking into!

I wasn't aware of that tool. Is it possible to use DDU without a working display? Just wondering if that's an option.
