My Phone Charges With a Power Bank but Not with Regular Chargers, Help!

Hey everyone! I've been having some charging issues with my phone. For the past few weeks, I've noticed that my charger only works at a very specific angle, which is pretty frustrating. Last night, I couldn't get it to charge at all. I thought it might just be a problem with the charger, but when I tried charging it with my power bank, it worked fine. This morning, I also tried my mom's charger, which usually works for my phone, but that didn't do anything either. So to sum it up, my phone charges perfectly with the power bank but refuses to respond to regular chargers. Any advice would be super appreciated!

You might also want to look into whether you're using the official charging cable. I had a similar problem with third-party cables that worked for a while but then stopped after updates or just got unreliable over time. If you are using third-party stuff, that's a potential culprit.

I'm using the standard cable that came with my iPhone 15, but I'll keep that in mind for future chargers!

It sounds like a tricky situation! First, can you tell us what model of phone you're using and what kind of chargers you've tried? There could be a compatibility issue, especially if you're not using an official cable or if it's worn out. Also, be sure to check if there's any lint or dust in the charging port using a soft brush or a small tool like a paperclip. Sometimes, that can block the connection and interfere with charging. If you find the port is clean but you still have issues, visiting an Apple store might be your best bet.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely check the port for dust.

If cleaning the port doesn’t solve the issue, and both your and your mom's chargers aren't working, it might be worth trying a different outlet or charging block. Sometimes it’s not the phone but rather the power source that’s the problem. If you’ve checked all this and it's still not charging, it might be time for a visit to the Apple store to have them take a look at it.

Good idea! I'll try switching outlets first and then decide if I need to go to Apple.
