What are the Best AI Tools for Coding Nowadays?

Hey everyone! A year ago, I tried using AI to help with my Unity3D project, specifically with codeium, but I found it pretty unintuitive and let it go. Since then, I've heard about various products like Claude Code, and honestly, the pace of AI advancements has been a bit overwhelming for me. Right now, I'm just copy-pasting my code into ChatGPT's o3, which feels inefficient. I'm looking for the best methods to use AI for coding, particularly for larger projects that have multiple files. Any recommendations?

If you're into web development, definitely try Gemini Firebase in combination with Cursor. It’s been a game changer for me!

I've been using Cursor and Claude with MCP/Projects, and they work quite well together! It's an efficient setup for managing code in larger projects.

For my workflow, I prefer using Roo or Cline combined with Gemini 2.5 Pro. I also use Cursor for autocomplete, and it has these great MCP integrations which streamline everything.

You might want to check out AI code editors like Cline and Roo. They've been around since last July and are designed for coding efficiency. There's a video that explains how Cline functions—definitely worth a watch!

If you haven't tried it yet, 2.5 Pro is really awesome for coding and reviewing designs in o3. You can also integrate it with tools like Cursor, Roo, and Cline for a smoother experience.

I've been experimenting with Aider in conjunction with Claude, DeepSeek, and Grok. It's been a solid combination for coding tasks!

I just started using Augment, and honestly, it's been better than Cursor for me! I’m planning to test it out in a production codebase soon since I primarily used it for interview prep before this.
