How to Fix Spellcheck After Uninstalling Grammarly on Mac?

I recently installed Grammarly on my MacBook Air to help with writing, but now I've encountered a problem with the spellcheck feature in both Pages and Notes. Even after uninstalling Grammarly, I can't seem to get spellcheck to work again. I followed advice from various sources and tried a Terminal command to enable spellcheck, but that didn't resolve anything either. Now I'm seeing a message that says, 'the default interactive shell is now zsh,' and I'm not sure how to update my account accordingly. I've checked the settings, and spellcheck is turned on there, so it should work. I really need help getting this fixed!

It sounds like you may want to double-check that you've completely removed all traces of Grammarly. Sometimes, just uninstalling the app doesn't clear everything out. Also, that Terminal command you mentioned is a bit outdated given the updates in macOS. You might want to try more recent sources for enabling spellcheck. The zsh message you’re seeing isn't related to your spellcheck issue, but it can be annoying. Just make sure your system is updated and try another method.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look for a more current fix. It’s so frustrating not being able to find the right guidance.
