Why won’t my Asus Vivobook recognize the new RAM upgrade?

I recently upgraded the RAM on my Asus Vivobook 16x from 8GB to a new 16GB module. However, I'm facing issues since it doesn't seem to work properly afterward. I've read conflicting information about this model being limited to a total of 16GB of RAM, and some suggest that it might be a BIOS limitation. Can anyone advise on how to handle compatibility issues through the BIOS or if there are any steps I should take?

If you've got an empty RAM slot and you know you've installed the correct type of RAM, try to just insert the stick and see what happens. Sometimes it's just a matter of securing it properly in the slot. Just make sure it clicks in place!

What do you mean by 'try to just insert the stick'? Do I need to press it down hard or something?

No need to force it too much, just make sure it fits snugly in the slot and that the clips click into place.
