After I used my pen drive on my friend's laptop, it turned into a shortcut labeled .vbs. Windows Security detected it as Trojan:Powershell/Runner.PGRA!MTB. This issue only happens with my friend's laptop, as the pen drive works fine on others. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Honestly, it seems like the virus is on your friend's computer and not the pen drive. It’s turning the drive into a shortcut as a way to spread. If you've already formatted the pen drive and it's still happening, your friend should look into cleaning up their system.
The simplest solution is to format the drive, but if the problem persists, you might need to consider reinstalling Windows on your friend's laptop to get rid of any hidden malware. Just be cautious, as reinstalling can wipe all his files, so make sure he has backups first!
