Good morning, everyone! I have a couple of Acer Predator XB271HU monitors running on Windows 10 (version 22H2). I noticed that there were once vendor-specific drivers available on the Acer support site, but they seem to have been removed. Given this situation, I'm wondering if I still need to use the Acer drivers for these monitors, or if the default Microsoft drivers are sufficient and even recommended. I would reach out to Acer support for clarification, but my monitors are out of warranty, and finding their tech support contact info on their website has been a bit of a hassle. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I advise against using a driver that's, like, 11 years old for anything. I've always kept it simple and never installed drivers for my monitors.
Honestly, I've never bothered with installing any drivers for my monitor. If everything's functioning smoothly for you right now, I’d stick with the default drivers and not stress over it at all.
Monitor drivers aren't a big deal; they mainly set up color profiles. You might see slightly better color accuracy in certain software that supports profiles, but each panel is different, so results can vary quite a bit.
