I'm deciding between two CPU bundles for gaming with an RTX 4070. I can get the Intel Core i7-14700K or the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, both priced at $599 at Microcenter. My main interest is in CPU-heavy games and newer AAA titles. Any recommendations on which one would be better?

If you're playing CPU-bound games, the 7800X3D is the way to go. It excels in simulations and gives a smoother experience in competitive titles too. Intel might shine in a few niche games, but overall, the AMD is superior. Plus, it handles PS3 emulation better since Intel dropped AVX512 support temporarily!
Definitely go with the 7800X3D. AMD's X3D chips are known for being top-tier for gaming right now!
