I'm planning to upgrade my PC which still has the same CPU since 2020. Right now, I have an AMD Ryzen 3600, and I'm considering either the Ryzen 5700X or the 5950X for my next CPU upgrade. My specs are as follows: an Alpenfohn Super Silent SI 2 cooler, an ASRock B450M Pro4-F motherboard, 64GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3200 RAM, and an ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3070 OC V2 GPU with a 600W be quiet! power supply. I mainly use my PC for gaming (like League of Legends and Anno), heavy multitasking, and some coding. My CPU often maxes out while gaming and doing other tasks, so I'm looking for an upgrade to last me another 2-3 years. The 5700X seems like a more budget-friendly option and would work with my current setup, while the 5950X might be overkill but would ensure top performance, albeit with extra costs like a new motherboard and cooler. What do you all think?

I switched from a 2700X to a 5700X a while back and felt a significant boost. Just remember to update your BIOS to ensure compatibility with the new CPU! It should make a big difference from the 3600.
If you do a lot of multitasking, the 5950X could really shine. It's a solid option for handling heavy loads without breaking a sweat, especially with coding and streaming simultaneously.

Thanks! I’m hoping the upgrade is noticeable. It feels like I’m hitting the limits with my current CPU.
