I suggest taking it to a local repair shop instead of a big chain. They often try to get you to buy a new phone or erase your data. Local folks usually don't do that.

It sounds like your battery might be dead. If the cables and charger are confirmed to work, then it's a process of elimination. Unfortunately, that might mean your battery needs replacing.

Have you tried rebooting the phone or cleaning out the charging port? Sometimes debris can cause issues. Just check if it charges with a different device or charger too.
