Is it Worth Upgrading My PC’s Graphics Card or Motherboard?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC setup, which currently has a Ryzen 7 5700x, a Powercolor RX 6600, 16GB RAM, and a maxsun a520m-k motherboard. I'm considering two options: upgrading my graphics card to an RTX 5060 or changing my motherboard to an ASRock B550M. I mostly play games like CS2, Hogwarts Legacy, and the Final Fantasy series. Would it be better to upgrade the GPU, or is there another recommendation you have?

The 5060 is quite a step up — around 60-65% more power than the RX 6600 and features an upgraded upscaling method for better visuals. That said, keep in mind it only has 8GB of VRAM. Ideally, you should look for something like a 16GB 9060XT or 5060 Ti if budget allows. Upgrading your GPU will bring the best improvements!

I appreciate the input! But I'm concerned about fitting those cards in my miniATX case; do you think they would work?

Upgrading the motherboard isn't going to give you any performance boost, but getting the 5060 will definitely make a difference. If you play demanding games, the upgrade will be noticeable!

I kinda disagree. The 5060 will impact performance, especially if you're hitting limits on your current setup. Just remember, the PCIe version might affect performance a bit depending on your games.

Honestly, motherboard upgrades usually don’t justify the cost since they don’t provide significant performance enhancements. Monitor your GPU and CPU utilization in your favorite games; if the GPU is maxed out, it’s worth the upgrade. Otherwise, you might be CPU bottlenecked!
