I'm in a bit of a jam with my laptop. The administrator account is linked to an old email that I can't access anymore, and I can't remember the password. When I try the reset password option, it says the account doesn't exist. This means I can't download any software or make necessary changes. Is there a way to remove the administrator account and make a non-admin account an admin? Alternatively, can I find a way to access the locked account? Any help would be appreciated!

If you have access to another computer, you can try this: download Rufus and create a bootable USB with Hiren's Boot CD. Boot your locked laptop using that USB and it should let you remove the password quite easily.
If your account is a local one, there are multiple methods to regain access. However, if it's a Microsoft account, recovery options might be limited. You could also use a boot disc to create a new local account with admin rights, allowing you to transfer your files from the locked profile. Let me know if you want detailed steps on that!
Just to add, make sure to back up any important data if you get access through a new account!
