Hey everyone, I'm a bit new to this forum and don't usually run into problems with my computer. But, I've come across a concerning issue: my SSD is showing a critical health status with 146TB written, which I read might be due to a bug. Meanwhile, the available spare is at 100, and the percentage used is at 118. I'm not sure if this is just a visual glitch or if I should start looking for a replacement. Any advice?

First off, can you share what model your SSD is? It's important because some Samsung 990 drives faced some issues that could cause them to show critical health if the firmware wasn't updated. How long have you had the drive?
Sounds like you might have a firmware issue. Just to clarify, are we talking 146TB or 146GB written? If it's actually 146TB, then you might be affected by a known bug in some older firmware versions. If you haven't already updated your firmware, you should do that right away.
Samsung SSDs have had their share of issues, especially the 990 models. If you didn’t apply the firmware update when it was released, your drive could be in trouble. The best move is to back up your data now and start thinking about getting a replacement SSD. Just in case!
