I recently got a new PC and I'm really interested in setting it up with dual monitors. The problem is, my computer only has one HDMI port, and so far, every adapter I've tried either just mirrors the display or doesn't work at all. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can achieve dual monitor functionality?

It sounds like you might need a dedicated graphics card to run dual monitors effectively. Integrated graphics usually only support a single output and your HDMI will typically just send one video signal.
If your monitors have HDMI ports only, you could buy a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter for one monitor. Since your GPU has multiple DisplayPort outputs, this could solve your issue without needing to get a new graphics card.
Using an ultrawide monitor could be a great alternative! They can act like two screens, letting you easily split the display between programs. Also, you might want to consider a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter if your graphics card supports it.
Check if your motherboard has any other video outputs like VGA, DVI, or DisplayPort. You can't run multiple monitors from just one HDMI port without some extra hardware.
Just to clarify, you’ll have better results with a graphics card installed in your PC. Not only will this allow dual display capabilities, but also boost your overall graphics performance.
