I recently took the hard drive from my old PC and put it in an external case. It has Windows 10 on it, and now I want to transfer all my files to my Windows 11 laptop. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make this work?

If you want a complete clone of your old drive, you might want to try using Macrium Reflect. It has a free 30-day trial and can clone entire drives, not just copy files. It could be perfect if you’re looking for an exact replica of everything on your old drive.
The simplest way to do this is to connect the external drive to your Windows 11 laptop and use the file manager to copy everything over directly. Just plug it in, open File Explorer, and drag and drop your files where you want them.
