Hey everyone, I'm new to managing a Domino server and HCL Notes after taking over from a colleague who recently left without any handover. I can connect to the server using remote desktop, but when I try to open the HCL Domino admin application—whether normally or as an administrator—nothing happens. I attempted to run my canonical name via PowerShell and even got the ID file from a coworker, but I'm still unable to access the application. I need to check the user's ID file manually. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Honestly, have you thought about asking ChatGPT for help? It’s a pretty good resource for tech issues like this!
When I saw 'Domino', that was my first thought too—AI might have some tips for legacy systems!
Have you tried checking the .id file with the Notes client? Make sure to switch ID when prompted to log in. Might help get you going!
Those things still exist? Wow! Good luck with that! I heard they upgraded to version 12 recently, but honestly, I haven't had to deal with Domino since around 2009.
I remember working on a Domino server from the mid-90s, it was a struggle back then too!
Yo, if you can, have the admin reset the user’s old password or copy their application data folder. That might just get the admin app to launch for you!
No shame in using AI for this, it could really point you in the right direction!
