Trouble Updating BIOS on MSI Motherboard

I've been trying to update the BIOS on my MSI B350M PRO-VD PLUS (MS-7B38) to get FaceIt to work correctly, but I'm running into problems. I downloaded what I thought was the newest version from MSI's site, but M-Flash doesn't recognize it. My current BIOS version is E7B38ARC v2.D2, and all that's available on MSI's website is versions labeled E7B38...AMS. It seems like the difference in naming (ARC vs AMS) is the issue since M-Flash won't pick up the updates unless I rename the files to include ARC. However, when I do that, I get an error saying that the BIOS isn't compatible with my motherboard. I'm at a loss here—has anyone dealt with this before?

It sounds like your motherboard might be a pre-built version that has a custom BIOS from the manufacturer. If that’s the case, you may need to download the BIOS updates directly from the OEM’s website instead of MSI's. Sometimes pre-built systems come with these special tweaks that don’t align with standard retail BIOS versions.

You're right, it was prebuilt. I got it from a shop called DNS. They told me to get the BIOS from MSI, but I guess I'll reach out to MSI support directly for help!
