I came home from my job and was all set to game, but when I turned on my PC, everything seemed fine at first. After a while, I checked back and found the screen was black with no signal at all. I'm not connected to the motherboard but to my GPU instead. I've tried a bunch of fixes like swapping HDMI cables, rebooting, reseating the GPU and RAM, and even taking out the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes, but nothing seems to work. Also, I'm not getting any USB power. Here are my specs: GTX 1650, some prebuilt motherboard, and an i5 1240F. I'm really stuck here and, as a student, I can't afford new parts right now. Any ideas on what I might need to do or buy to get this sorted out?

Another good test to see if your GPU is fried is to plug the HDMI directly into the motherboard graphics. That’ll tell you if the GPU is causing all the trouble. Glad to hear everything's working again!
Have you tried removing the GPU and connecting your monitor directly to the motherboard? Sometimes, this can help identify if the GPU is the issue. It could make a difference!
Your system might have entered a hibernation state. Sometimes the best fix is just unplugging it for a bit to let it reset completely. It can be a hassle, but it’s worth a try!
I just realized after your suggestion that I hadn't updated you all. I did what was suggested and, after walking my dog, I came back and it actually started working again! Is there a chance this was just a temporary glitch? I'm reinstalling Windows now.
