Should I Buy a New 5060 Ti or a Used 4070 Ti for My GPU Upgrade?

I'm in the market for a new GPU and I'm torn between two options: a brand new 5060 Ti for $450 or a used 4070 Ti, also for $450. I know the 4070 Ti has better performance, but I'm a bit hesitant about buying used. Is it worth it to go for the 4070 Ti, or should I stick with the new 5060 Ti considering my budget maxes out at $500? I also want to avoid anything from Radeon. Thanks for any advice! 😊

Yeah, it's a tough choice! The 4070 Ti can outperform the 5060 Ti by over 25% in some games. However, because it's used, you might be taking a gamble. The new 5060 Ti has the advantage of warranty and a newer architecture. Maybe try negotiating the price of the 4070 Ti down to around $400 or $420, which could make it a more appealing deal!

Good idea! It’s worth a shot to ask for a lower price.

Going for the new 5060 Ti seems like a safer bet. You get all the latest features and warranty with it, which is really valuable. That peace of mind can be crucial, especially with used GPUs where you never know what you're getting.

If you're not counting on DLSS 4.0 to boost performance with the 5060 Ti, then the 4070 Ti is definitely the stronger option. Just keep in mind that buying used comes with risks—no warranty means no guarantees it’ll run well. Check out reviews to see how the 5060 Ti stacks up against the 4070 Ti if you're debating.
