Troubleshooting Microsoft Teams Auto Update Issues

Hey all! I'm new to the sysadmin role and I've come across an issue where about 20% of our users aren't receiving the automatic updates for Microsoft Teams. I'm curious if anyone has dealt with similar problems and what solutions you've implemented. We're looking for a way to enforce the auto-update feature instead of relying on SCCM for deployment. Currently, we're in a hybrid joined environment and are transitioning to a fully Entra joined setup.

We've started using Action1 for our updates and patches, and it’s been working well! It allows us to deploy updates and even uninstall unwanted versions of software like Teams. It's a great alternative if you want more control over software deployment without relying solely on the built-in updater.

Thanks for the suggestions! I prefer the Teams auto updater to work for everyone instead of managing another deployment method, but I'll definitely consider Action1 for future updates.

To solve the auto-update issue on Windows, make sure that the Delivery Optimization Service is enabled in your settings. This is crucial for Teams to update itself automatically!
