I'm encountering an "Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffffffffffff" error every time I try to start the game. Can anyone explain what this error means and how I might be able to resolve it? I'm seeing multiple mentions of 'dxgi' and 'gameoverlayrenderer64' in the error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First thing you should check is whether your GPU drivers are up to date. Also, let us know which GPU you're using and the game title you're trying to play.

It looks like 'gameoverlayrenderer64' is related to Steam. You might want to try disabling the Steam overlay. Here's how: Open your Steam client, go to 'Settings', click on the 'In-Game' tab, and then uncheck 'Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game'. You can also do this for specific games in your library.
