After using my i5 11400F for four years, I decided to upgrade to the i5 14400F. I'm curious whether this was a wise choice. I've heard that the 14400F is currently the best CPU for DDR4 RAM, especially considering the stability issues with other 14th gen Intel processors. Plus, AM4 setups seem to be slower for similar pricing. I plan to pair the new CPU with an RX 9060XT 16GB, primarily for 1080p gaming, with occasional forays into 4K. Given all this, do you think the upgrade was worth it? I'm contemplating returning it since I'm starting to feel it might have been a waste of money based on what I've read about this CPU.

The 9060XT won't be held back by the 14400F at all, unless you're diving into competitive e-sports, so you're likely good there!
Are you noticing a significant performance boost with the upgrade? If not, it might make you question the switch. If you do, just update the BIOS and enjoy the speed!
I have the same CPU with DDR5, and I haven’t had any issues. It's quick and responsive overall!

Yeah, I just need the 180 FPS for CS2, and that’s all I care about!
