Hey folks, I just got my hands on a 1050 TI, thinking it was better than my existing 1650, but now I realize it's actually the opposite. I still have the 1650, and I promised to give it to my little brother. Is there any way to improve the performance of the 1050 TI, or am I just stuck with my mistake?

Honestly, the best route might be to sell the 1050 TI and put that cash towards a better GPU. That's really the only way to upgrade from this situation.
Curious, where are you located and how much did you pay for the 1050 TI?
You know, the 1650 is actually the better card. Maybe consider giving your brother the 1050 TI instead?
This might be a good opportunity for a lesson about researching before purchasing. But if you back out, your brother might just think you’re being inconsiderate.
I feel for you, but there’s unfortunately no way to make the 1050 TI any better. Performance differences between graphics cards are pretty easy to research, too. Just search for the card on TechPowerUp, and you'll see clear comparisons.
Totally get that! It can be confusing with all the naming and tier shifts. Many people get caught up in those misunderstandings.

True! It’s a learning experience for both of you, but he might feel let down if you take it back.
