Need Advice on My PC Build: Case Options, Upgrades, and Cooling

I've put together a basic outline for my PC build and I'm looking for some advice. Here's what I've got so far (link to part list). First, can all my parts fit in a Lian Li O11 compact case? Is this case better since it's smaller and cheaper? Also, if my budget expands, which parts should I consider upgrading, like going from a standard GPU to an RTX 5080? I primarily play FPS and AAA games, but the price jump is significant. Lastly, how many case fans should I include to keep everything cool? Appreciate any help!

Looking at your build choices, the O11 Dynamic Mini V2 is indeed a solid pick. While it’s smaller, it’s designed well enough that airflow isn’t significantly compromised. Make sure you have a good mix of fans—one exhaust and at least two intakes to start. Also, consider what parts you can buy based on current pricing trends; SSDs can fluctuate quite a bit! If it helps, prioritize brands like Crucial, WD, and Samsung for reliability.

It seems like you might have the wrong PCPartPicker link, but regarding your build, I can answer your questions! The Lian Li O11 case isn't actually compact; it’s a mid-tower, so all your parts should fit just fine. I’d avoid upgrading unless you’re really hitting performance limits since your current choices are solid. Just make sure to opt for a motherboard that's not ASUS or ASRock for better compatibility with the CPU. As for fans, definitely have at least one exhaust and two intake fans for proper airflow; you can always add more later if needed!

Thanks for the clarity! If I switch to the compact O11, would everything still fit? And do you have a motherboard brand you trust?

If you mean the O11 Vision Compact, yes, everything will fit without issues. You might also consider the O11 Dynamic Mini V2, which is a bit smaller and less expensive. I’ve even swapped out some parts in my build to fit a white aesthetic. Just make sure your components can breathe—having 5 intake fans and 1 exhaust (or a mix) will keep temperatures in check. For the motherboard, steer clear of certain models known for issues with CPUs; I’d recommend MSI or Gigabyte instead, as they’ve handled the 9000 series well.

Thanks a ton for the info! Quick question: is the O11 Mini V2 an upgrade over the Dynamic? It seems cheaper but I’m concerned about airflow.
