Hey everyone! So I updated to Windows 11 recently and now my laptop keeps freezing whenever I try to load an application or sometimes just randomly every few minutes. It goes black for a few seconds too. This has never happened before! The weird thing is, this only occurs when I'm connected to my Asus monitor using HDMI. When I unplug it, everything seems to work perfectly fine. I'm using an Intel Core i7-10750H CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. Anyone have any solutions for this issue? I've tried a few things, but nothing seems to work. Oh, and I also got a Blue Screen error related to "nvlddmkm.sys" after checking some settings while the monitor was plugged in. I'm guessing that has something to do with NVIDIA?

It sounds like you're facing some display driver issues after the Windows update. You might want to check if you're on version 24H2 of Windows because that update changed how display drivers function. You can roll back the drivers from Device Manager to see if that helps. Just be careful because messing with BIOS settings can lead to data loss, so make sure you back up your data first!
Thanks for the tip! I actually tried rolling back the update already, but the problem didn't go away. It feels like this update might have caused a bigger issue, especially since everything was fine before.
