I just built my first PC and managed to snag an RTX 5080 along with a Ryzen 7800X3D. I did consider going for the 9800 but unfortunately, my budget didn't allow it. Now I'm wondering if I'm risking a bottleneck with this setup?

For what it's worth, don’t stress too much about the bottlenecking talk. Only worry if it starts impacting your gaming experience. If it does, by then, there will likely be other affordable upgrade options available.

Exactly! I can’t believe someone suggested a Threadripper for this setup. It just wouldn’t bottleneck like that with your GPU.

Yeah, generally speaking, the RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7800X3D are a solid match! Just curious, what games or settings are you planning to use?

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm gaming on a 1440p 27 inch Alienware monitor and always crank everything to max settings.

Honestly, you shouldn’t lose sleep over bottlenecks. The 7800X3D is really powerful; it won't bottleneck even newer GPUs like the 5090 or whatever comes next.

Awesome, thank you!! That really helps me feel better!
