How to Fix Battleye Issues Causing System Restarts?

I'm having a frustrating issue with Battleye causing my system to restart every time I try to launch DayZ. My setup includes an R7 9800X3D CPU, TUF B650E WiFi motherboard, and a 7900XT GPU—all fully updated, running on Windows 11. The issue seems to be purely software-related since there are no hardware limitations evident, and I've ruled out voltage spikes.

When I run DayZ, Battleye attempts to launch but then my system shuts down and restarts. Interestingly, if I start DayZ directly from the EXE file, it runs fine, but I get kicked for not having Battleye open. I've played other games like War Thunder and Destiny 2 without a hitch, which also use Battleye.

I've already updated all drivers, run Memtest (with no errors in 4 passes), and even tried exceptions in my firewall and antivirus, which I disabled. I've unchecked the debug box in msconfig, run 'sfc /scannow', and verified the integrity of game files. I also deleted Battleye folders from both the common files and DayZ directories, uninstalled and reinstalled Battleye, but nothing seems to work. I'd love some help figuring this out because it's really bothering me!

You might want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling the game after clearing out all related files. There could be remnants left causing the Battleye issue. It's a pain, I know, but sometimes a fresh start can clear things up.

It sounds like you've done quite a bit of troubleshooting already! Have you checked for any overlays from other apps that might be causing a conflict? Sometimes things like Discord or NVIDIA GeForce Experience can cause issues with Battleye. Just a thought!

Nope, I don't have any overlays running. Just trying to keep it as clean as possible!
