How can I optimize my PC for gaming performance?

I'm having trouble getting the most out of my PC when playing games. I thought my setup would handle demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Red Dead Redemption 2 quite well, but it's struggling even on lower settings. Here are my specs: I have a 550W power supply, an Intel i7-14700k CPU, an AMD RX 6650 XT GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD along with a 500GB hard drive. I can't recall the exact model of my motherboard, but if necessary, I can find it. I'm concerned there might be an issue with my power supply or that my CPU is too advanced for the rest of my components, causing a bottleneck. Any advice from experienced users would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like your GPU, the RX 6650 XT, is more of a budget option meant for 1080p gaming, so don't expect it to perform like higher-end GPUs at 2K or 4K resolutions. That might be the main reason you're facing performance issues with more demanding games.
