I'm pretty new to PC components, so bear with me! I bought a CyberPowerPC back in July, and it's been great. However, now that I'm streaming, I've noticed that my camera lags during games unless I lower my FPS to 30 and set my graphics to medium or low. While this hasn't seriously impacted my growth yet, I want to address the issue before it becomes a problem. I'm planning to upgrade some parts before I build a custom PC later this year. Here are my current specs: Nvidia 4060, Intel i5 14th gen 14400F, and 8GB DDR4. I'd appreciate any advice you have!

I agree that upgrading your RAM is likely the better option here. You should definitely aim for at least 16GB for a smoother experience, especially for streaming.
It sounds like your 8GB DDR4 RAM could be holding you back. Keeping an eye on the performance tab in the task manager will help identify any bottlenecks. It might be worth considering an upgrade to 16GB or even 32GB to improve performance.
In your case, the CPU seems to be the biggest bottleneck, which is good news since upgrading it is generally cheaper compared to a graphic card. It might help improve your overall gaming and streaming experience.
You might want to try using a tool like Process Lasso to assign specific threads to the camera software, which could help with the lag issue.
