Hey everyone, I recently bought a monitor arm for my dual monitor setup (an AW2725DM at 144Hz and a VA24EHE at 60Hz). After disconnecting everything and installing the arm, I noticed a significant performance drop in my games. Before the installation, I played Monster Hunter Wilds with 110 FPS at camps and 90 FPS under heavy load. After installing the monitor arm, those numbers dropped to 90 FPS at camps and 60 FPS under stress. I know monitor arms themselves don't affect performance, but I'm trying to figure out what's going on. I've restarted my PC, checked temperatures (CPU at 70°C, GPU at 59°C after a stress test), restored Windows, swapped cables, and even verified game files. I'm using HDMI and DisplayPort for the connections. That said, I'm open to any suggestions, as I'm genuinely confused about this change in performance!

It sounds like you might have accidentally plugged one monitor into the motherboard instead of the GPU after disconnecting everything. Try connecting your second monitor to the GPU as well. That usually fixes performance issues.
Could it be that one of your RAM sticks got unseated when you were moving things around? Check Task Manager to see if it’s still detecting all 32GB of RAM you have.
Just a heads up, monitor arms don’t affect your performance unless you add another monitor. So it’s possible that something else is causing the dip.

I checked and it's still showing 32GB, so that seems fine. I’ll look for anything else that might be loose, though.
