I'm super excited to share that I just got my first position in DevOps! The only thing is, I'm fresh out of college and don't have much hands-on experience yet. I do know a bit about Kubernetes and Docker, and I even set up a Kubernetes cluster on Linode to try and gain some practical experience. However, I'm feeling a bit lost on what to actually do with these tools once I start working in a few weeks. I'm concerned that I might not know enough when I begin, which I assume they're aware of. I'm currently focused on improving my bash scripting skills, as I hear that's essential. I'd appreciate any advice or resources you can share to help me prepare. Thanks a ton!

Congrats on landing the job! I’m in the same boat, just starting with DevOps too. I started off learning Linux and Bash scripting, and I’m diving into AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform next. If you have any resources for Kubernetes and Docker, could you share them? It would really help me out! Thanks!
Here’s a video I found helpful: https://youtu.be/7bA0gTroJjw?si=QRr5Bq3qkGRtClnG. It's a bit old, but it really helped me get started. I also managed to pick up Docker on my own. As for AWS, I feel like it’s tough to do personal projects in this field since it usually involves collaboration. Good luck, I’m thrilled for you starting your job!
