Hey everyone! I've got an RTX 5070 and I'm debating on whether to reuse my current 32GB DDR4 RAM with an Intel i5 14600k by buying a new motherboard, which would cost around £350. On the other hand, I'm considering getting the CCL 1440p Gamer Bundle that includes an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and 16GB of DDR5 RAM for about £520. My main use is gaming (like League of Legends, Ghost of Tsushima), as well as some light editing with Lightroom and DaVinci. Is there a significant trade-off in performance by going for the bundle with only 16GB of RAM? Also, I can't stretch to 32GB of DDR5 at this time, so what do you think would be the better choice?

You'll find that Intel has a slight advantage in editing capabilities, but the prices for the i5 14600k are climbing. I got mine for around £180, but I see prices closer to £230 now, which is pushing it towards the used 14700k territory. Definitely do your math!
I say go for the DDR5 bundle, but keep in mind it's a tricky time for upgrades. The bundle does cost about £40 more than buying the parts separately, but it could still be worthwhile if everything's new and under warranty. For your gaming needs, that setup should handle it pretty well!
If you're planning on doing any high-res video editing, I'd recommend sticking with 32GB of DDR4. It's going to help a lot with performance in those scenarios. Plus, gaming should be solid with that setup!

Wow, they're selling it for £260 on CCL! Do you think that's too much for it?
