I recently received an old PC from my dad, and it has some outdated components that I'm looking to upgrade. Here's what I'm working with: a Ryzen 5 2400G CPU, 24GB of RAM, a 750W power supply, and a Radeon HD 7700 GPU. I really want to play Elden Ring at least at 720p, but I know my current GPU only has 1GB of VRAM. I've found some used AMD GPUs like the RX570, RX580, RX6600, and RX5700 for around $100. Should I invest in one of these, and will it let me run the game at the resolution I want?

I'd suggest going for the RX6600 if you can find it. It's a great GPU that can comfortably handle gaming at 1080p, and it outperforms the RX580 by a significant margin. Just a heads-up, though—while you're at it, think about upgrading the CPU too. A Ryzen 5 5600 could be a solid upgrade without breaking the bank.
Definitely focus on the GPU first. The RX6600 is ideal for your setup, but keep an eye on your budget. If you can squeeze in a CPU upgrade, consider the 5600X for a decent performance boost without spending too much.
Absolutely change out that GPU! The RX5700 or RX6600 would be perfect. The RX580 and RX570 are starting to feel outdated, so I wouldn't recommend them unless you find an incredible deal.
If you can trust the seller, go for the RX6600. It’s newer and performs better than the older models. Also, just so you know, you can easily upgrade your CPU, too. You'll need to check BIOS compatibility, but any Ryzen 5000 series chip should work. Avoid the G series for the best results.
Yeah, the RX6600 is definitely a good choice. If you want other options too, look into getting used GTX 1080 or GTX 1660 Super; they might be available for a bit more but offer great performance.
