I'm finally upgrading from my old 1080 and I'm considering two graphics cards: the 9070 XT and the 5070. They seem to be priced similarly, but I'm unsure which one would perform better for the money. I'm new to AMD and could use any advice on this. Thanks in advance!

The 9070 XT outperforms the 5070 by about 25%. It's great for rasterization and has 16GB of VRAM, which is a nice bonus. It's also better for regular ray tracing, but keep in mind that the 5070 can sometimes handle VRAM better at 1440p. Unless you specifically need Nvidia for CUDA or similar tasks, I'd suggest going with the 9070 XT.
There's a good comparison video by Hardware Unboxed if you want a visual breakdown! Check it out [here](https://youtu.be/YWUqsqcM4Hs?si=xAcadjlhdN6fwl2-).
In terms of performance, the 9070 XT definitely has the upper hand. It's a whole tier above the 5070, especially considering they are similarly priced.
I just swapped my 5070 for a 9070 XT since it was only $50 more. To be honest, I feel mixed about it. The FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR4) doesn't look as good as DLSS 4, which I'm missing when playing Arc Raiders. I haven't noticed significant FPS boosts, but it might be due to my 9700X bottlenecking the setup.
Definitely go for the 9070 XT. I got a 5070 only because it was a lot cheaper than a 9070 non-XT, but if the prices are close, the XT is the way to go!
