How Can I Fix Stuttering Issues in My Games?

I've been dealing with some frustrating stuttering issues in my games, no matter what I do. I've tried a bunch of fixes that I found online, but nothing seems to work. I have EXPO enabled, my drivers are up to date, I turned off the Ethernet optimization, and I even adjusted settings in MSI Afterburner. Unfortunately, the stuttering persists in every game, especially noticeable in Apex Legends, Overwatch, CS2, and occasionally in Valorant and others. Here are my specs:

- GPU: RTX 5080
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 WiFi 6
- RAM: 64GB 6000MHz

I'm really hoping to find a solution to this problem!

How's your Windows 11 installation? If it’s pretty new, that could be an issue too.

It’s not that old. I built this PC about three months ago with a licensed key, and I’ve had these stutters since day one, but I didn’t worry about it too much back then.

Have you checked if ReBAR is turned on? That can sometimes help with performance issues.

Make sure to check your PCIe slot as well. Sometimes the 5080 doesn't get full bandwidth if it's in the wrong slot or sharing lanes. Also, keep an eye on your temps during those stutters; that CPU can heat up pretty quickly.

Have you tried disabling PCIe 5.0 in the BIOS and switching to PCIe 4.0 instead? I've heard that can help if you’re having issues, especially if you’re using a riser cable.
