I'm looking to improve my PC performance for After Effects and a little gaming. Here are my current specs:
- Processor: Intel i5 12400F
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime H610-CS D4
- GPU: GTX 1650 with 4 GB
- RAM: 32 GB DDR4
- Storage: 512 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
- Power Supply: 500W
I'm not very experienced with hardware upgrades, so I could use some advice on what to focus on. My budget is around 60,000 INR or approximately $700. Any recommendations would be super helpful!

The GPU should be your priority, but also think about your monitor. A higher resolution display, like a 1440p, can really enhance your gaming experience once you upgrade your GPU.
You might want to start with the GPU upgrade first; I'd suggest the RTX 5060 or whatever fits well in your budget. Your other components are still solid, but more VRAM will definitely help your gaming and editing experience.
Yeah, keep in mind that upgrading could cost more than $700, especially depending on local prices. If you're aiming for overall performance, a CPU upgrade to something like the i5-13600K could be great, paired with a new cooler. And definitely budget for a good PSU – around 650W to 750W should be safe!
If I were you, I'd start with upgrading the GPU! That's going to give you the most noticeable improvement for both After Effects and gaming. You might look into something like the RTX 5060. Just make sure to check if your power supply unit (PSU) has an 8-pin PCIe cable to support it.
Definitely consider a GPU upgrade first. If you're looking for good performance, an RX 9060 XT 16GB could do wonders! However, don't forget to check if you might need a new PSU too, especially for higher-end GPUs; a 750W would give you some headroom.
Does that fit within my budget, though?

What GPU options would you suggest for that upgrade?
