Help! My Windows 11 C Drive is Corrupted and I Can’t Factory Reset

Hey everyone, I'm facing a pretty serious issue with my Windows 11 C drive. It's showing 0 bytes for both used and free space, and I can't do anything on it. I've tried booting into safe mode, which seems to work, but I'm stuck trying to factory reset the laptop because I can't get the required admin permission, even though I'm logged in as the administrator. Signing out doesn't help either. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem?

It's definitely a tricky situation when the drive is acting weird like that. If safe mode's giving you trouble with permissions, and you're seeing those 0 bytes for space, then a clean reinstall might be necessary. Just make sure to have a bootable USB handy with the Windows installer.

If you're able to boot into safe mode, try opening the command prompt and running `chkdsk c: /f /r`, but if you're hitting admin permission issues, you might need to connect your drive to another machine with a SATA to USB adapter to see if you can pull any data off. After that, wiping the drive and reinstalling Windows might be your best bet.

Before doing anything drastic, check if you can see the drive in BIOS. If it shows up, your drive is likely okay. But if you're unable to reset it due to admin rights, consider backing up your data from another computer if possible. Once that's done, you might need to partition or format the drive and reinstall Windows from scratch; it could be your only option.

It sounds like your hard drive might be failing or the OS partition has become corrupted. Since you can't see the files on the C drive, have you tried connecting the drive to another computer? That way, you can check its health and see if it can be accessed that way. If there’s anything critical on it, make sure to back up whatever you can before taking any further steps.
