I'm currently using a 5500G paired with a 3060 Ti, and I noticed the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is on sale for $200. I'm contemplating whether I should upgrade now or wait. Is this a good deal? How often does it go on sale at this price?

Mind sharing where you found it for $200? Just curious!

Sure, it's on GameStop's website! Here's the link.

Honestly, $200 for a 5800X3D is a steal in my opinion. I paid about $288 for mine open box at Micro Center last year. This should keep you covered for quite a while without needing CPU upgrades until AMD comes out with an AM6 socket.

Absolutely go for it! It’ll extend the life of your setup, and with RAM prices being what they are right now, it's a smart move. Don't forget to think about upgrading your GPU in the future too!

Man, I wish I had found one at that price before I opted for the 5700X3D instead.

If you can snag it, go for it—it's the best gaming CPU on AM4. It'll hold up well for you until you're ready to upgrade more significantly. Just be sure it’s in stock when you decide to buy!

Right? GameStop has it at that price right now! Check it out.

Yes, it’s one of the best CPUs for AM4, especially for gaming. A great choice if you can grab it for that price!
