Is Upgrading to an EVGA RTX 2060 Super Worth It for Gaming at 1080-1440P?

I'm using a GTX 1660 Ti 6GB for light gaming on a 1080P monitor. A friend is selling me their used EVGA RTX 2060 Super 8GB for about $150. I could sell my GTX 1660 Ti for roughly $100. Does it make sense to upgrade, especially since I might move to a 1440P monitor in the future? Just so you know, everything I'm running is from around 2019-2020, and I don't plan to upgrade again until 2028 or 2029 when the market stabilizes. Looking for some advice!

Honestly, I’d lean towards a newer card if you're considering 1440P. Cards like the RX 6700XT or RX 6800 could be a better investment. I recently got a 6800 for around £248, which was a better deal compared to the 2060 Super. Check current prices, it might be worth it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep an eye out for those models.

I’d skip the RTX 2060 Super. If you can save a bit more, go for the newer 30/40/5060 series cards. They should offer better future-proofing for a similar price.
