Why did I receive a Facebook notification on my PC without using Facebook?

I recently started my PC and got a Facebook notification even though I don't have Facebook open in my Firefox browser, and I don't have the Facebook, Messenger, or Instagram apps installed on my desktop. This seems a bit suspicious to me. I'm using Mint Cinnamon—can anyone help me understand why this notification appeared?

Hmm, since the notification was blank with a birthday message but no name, that’s strange. You should check the notification settings in Firefox. If you’re signed into Firefox, it might sync notifications from any accounts linked to it. Double-checking there might help!

Also, if you have KDE Connect set up, it could be that the notification came from your phone instead. Just something to consider!

It sounds like it could be related to email notifications. If you have an email client like Thunderbird set up, it might show Facebook notifications if you have email alerts enabled. Have you checked that?

I do have Thunderbird, but it wasn't even open at the time. Plus, I don't get those Facebook birthday emails or any other notifications.
