Hey everyone! I currently have a 7800x3d paired with a 5070 ti and an x670e steel legend motherboard. I'm considering upgrading to the 9800x3d for about $350, and I could sell my 7800x3d for $260. I'd love to know if this upgrade is worth it, especially since I've heard about issues with Asrock motherboards possibly damaging the CPU. Can anyone provide insights on whether to go for it, disregarding the motherboard concerns? Thanks!

I would say no way! The price jump isn't justified for the minor improvements you’d see.
If you’re gaming at 1080p with a 5090, you might only see about a 10-15% performance boost. DLSS might help, but that’s something you should weigh against the extra $90 you'd spend. It's a small gain for a big price difference, so think carefully!
Nope, not even close to worth it, dude.
Honestly, not worth it in my opinion. You'd be better off sticking with what you have unless you're chasing something specific.
It's really not worth the effort tbh. The performance increase isn’t substantial enough for that kind of cash.
