Hey everyone! I'm having some really strange issues with my PC and could use some help. It started with frequent freezing, and when I restarted, it would blue screen sometimes. Then it would be fine for a while after another restart. Recently, it's been freezing and then not turning on at all. When I finally got it to boot, it showed a white 'BIOS Diagnostics' screen that got stuck at 1 second. After a few restarts, I managed to get past that and it told me my PC needed recovery. After a two-hour wait, I got it running again, but I'm having trouble reinstalling Windows; it claims the update isn't compatible with my machine. My setup is a Dell G5 5090.

Sounds like you might be dealing with a corrupted operating system or possibly a failing hard drive. Did you catch any specific error messages on the blue screen? That could give some clues about what’s going wrong. I'm curious about that white BIOS diagnostics screen, too; I haven't seen one that does that before.
Looks like the diagnostics was likely testing your memory since it froze at 1 second. If you saw a hard drive damage error, you should back up your data ASAP! It’s possible you need a new drive or at least to check if there are any issues. Check the Dell support site for any hardware diagnostics.
