You can get a free battery replacement if it's within the limited warranty period and shows damage. If your battery's capacity is below 80% and you have Apple Care+, it's covered too. Otherwise, if you don't have that coverage, there will be a fee. It's worth noting that some heat is normal during charging or intense use, though!
