Having Issues Installing Ryzen 5 5500 on A320M-HD2 Motherboard

I recently tried to install a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU in my A320M-HD2 motherboard, but I'm running into some problems. Sometimes, the CPU fan stops spinning, and my monitor stays black without displaying any image, even though the rest of the system is powered on. I'm using an RTX 2060 graphics card as well. Any ideas on how to fix this?

First off, make sure you updated the BIOS on your motherboard before installing the new CPU. It’s really important for compatibility with newer processors. If you haven't done that yet, try reinstalling the old CPU, update the BIOS to the latest version, then put the Ryzen 5 5500 back in and see if that helps.

Yeah, it sounds like a BIOS issue to me too. Make sure you checked the Gigabyte site for the latest BIOS version for your A320M-HD2. If F53 is the latest one you have, that should be good, but it's always good to double-check. If the BIOS is updated and you're still having issues, consider checking your power connections or reseating the GPU.
