How can I find out what’s using all the space on my C drive?

I'm using Windows 11 Home, and I'm down to just 11GB free on my C drive, which is 237GB in total. The storage settings say that I have 171GB used under 'Installed Apps,' but when I check the list, the biggest app (my browser) takes up less than 2GB. I'm trying to figure out what's taking up all that space so I can uninstall unnecessary programs. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Honestly, if you can, consider upgrading to a bigger drive, like a 500GB! It would save you a lot of hassle. But in the meantime, definitely check out TreeSize and WizTree to manage your space.

It sounds like Windows 11 itself is consuming a good chunk of that space! Plus, you might have files like pictures or documents stored on your C drive that aren't showing up in the Installed Apps section. Take a look at those too.

Just a heads up, the data Windows gives for installed apps isn't always accurate. Tools like WizTree can give you a better idea of actual space usage across all files. There's also my app, Uninstalr, which calculates real space used by apps.

The storage info in Windows can often be misleading. For a detailed look at what’s using your space, I recommend using TreeSize or WinDirStat. They’ll give you a clearer picture beyond the 'Installed Apps' category.

Totally agree with the TreeSize suggestion! It helped me figure out where all my storage was going. And for a more comprehensive analysis, you could try WizTree. It’s pretty good at breaking down folder sizes.
