How Can I Control a Headless PC from My Main Desktop?

I'm trying to set up a separate PC in my garage that I want to control entirely from my main desktop. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm looking for recommendations on the best software to use. I'm considering options like Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) or TeamViewer. The catch is that the garage PC won't have a screen, keyboard, or mouse—just the computer itself. Is this feasible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you’re on Windows 10 Pro, you should be good to go with RDP. Just ensure that it's enabled on the garage PC. You might also want to look into RustDesk—it’s gaining popularity and is pretty user-friendly!

Indeed, RustDesk is another fantastic choice if you're after something simple and effective for controlling a headless setup. It's worth exploring!

Headless RDP is definitely an option, but how you set it up might depend on your specific needs. Make sure to check the version of Windows you're using, as some editions may not support RDP without extra steps.
