I'm checking the M365 Maps matrix and it shows Microsoft 365 Business Premium offering Exchange Online Plan 1+ with a 100 GB mailbox. My understanding was that Business Premium only includes Exchange Online Plan 1, which has a 50 GB mailbox unless you purchase the Exchange Online Archiving add-on. Microsoft's own service descriptions confirm this with 50 GB for Plan 1 and 100 GB for Plan 2. So, is the matrix indicating an upgrade to 100 GB for Business Premium an error or is there some unannounced entitlement that increases the mailbox size? I want to clarify this before making any promises to clients about mailbox capacity.

I found out about the upgrade to 100 GB mailbox too, and honestly, it’s a big win for all the email pack rats in our organization!
I talked to our supplier, and they said that Business Premium will actually have a 100 GB mailbox starting in July 2026. So, it looks like the matrix is correct, just a bit ahead of schedule.
I think it might be referring to the 50 GB mailbox plus an additional 50 GB auto-archive feature.
From what I’ve heard, Business Premium will offer a 100 GB mailbox and a 1 TB archive.
It will be official starting July; you can check out the details in this announcement from Microsoft.

Thanks for the clarification! I’ll keep an eye on that announcement for updates.
