So, I was on a call with a friend while cooking, and I totally spaced out and put my phone in the microwave with my food. It was only in there for about five seconds, and thankfully it seems to be working fine now, but I saw some smoke coming from the charging port for a couple of seconds and it smells really bad, almost like rotten meat. Is my phone going to be okay?

Hopefully, you have a protection plan. It's never a good sign when something starts smoking. You might want to be honest with the warranty folks about what happened.
Sounds like that battery might be damaged. I'd definitely recommend having a technician take a look at your phone before you keep using it.
I do have a warranty, but I'm unsure if they'll cover it. Do you think I could just say it happened unexpectedly?
