Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my 8-year-old PC and could use some advice. Here's what I currently have:
- **GPU**: ASUS ROG STRIX 1070ti
- **CPU**: Intel i7-8700
- **Motherboard**: Asus Strix B360-H Gaming
- **RAM**: Crucial DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200, currently locked to 2666 due to the motherboard
- **PSU**: 650W Thermaltake Lite Power
- **Storage**: 1 SATA SSD and 2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSDs
I'm looking to upgrade to a 14th gen CPU and motherboard from ASUS. Ideally, I want something that handles Full HD, but I might go for 2K in the future. Since I want to stick with my DDR4 RAM for now and know that this socket won't support future CPUs, I'm looking for the best options available. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

If you're aiming for a 14th-gen upgrade and want to keep your DDR4 RAM, I'd recommend getting the Intel i5-14600K along with any B760/Z790 DDR4 motherboard that features BIOS flashback. A good option in my region is the Gigabyte B760M DS3H AX DDR4 Motherboard; it's pretty budget-friendly too!

What do you think about swapping for a less powerful CPU and snagging a 9060XT 16GB for around $450 instead? What CPU would you suggest then?
